Skipping the Tiramisu Cover 3About Skipping The Tiramisu: Becoming the Writer You Were Born to Be

Review by: Raymond Boyd Dunn on Oct. 15, 2012 : star star star star star
I came upon this little masterpiece quite by chance, and will place it in my library for future reference. I read somewhere never to write in the first person, but I did not take the advice of my betters in my attempts at humour; therefore I am pleased to be vindicated by at least one five star author. Sorry about the spelling of a word back there, but that’s the way we spell it in Australia.

A friend of mine told me about this author and had already read and reviewed Kristine’s ‘Skipping the Tira Misu’ so it was with some interest that I read and have to say greatly enjoyed this piece. Kristine takes her own advice and speaks truthfully and from the heart offering blunt and humorous tips on the subject of writing humor / comedy. A fantastic little read from a gifted author.

I loved Kristine’s micro-story, Isabella’s Torch: A Thanksgiving Memoir! It was heartwarming, lighthearted and charming – I almost felt like I was sitting at the dinner table with her, enjoying a delicious turkey dinner and listening to the friendly banter. A lovely family memory, Kristine; thank you so much for the gift of your story! ~ J C Edwards (Julie Catherine)
